About Beed City:

Beed is a historic city in Maharashtra, once known as Champavatinagar, the city blends ancient history with vibrant culture. The city showcases architectural heritage from the Yadava and Nizam eras. It consists of ancient Kankaleshwar Temple (Hemadpanthi style). This Shiva temple is surrounded by a serene water tank, making it a peaceful and picturesque site An impressive ancient step well, demonstrating the remarkable engineering and water management skills of the past. It serves as the gateway to the sacred Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga Temple one of the Twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

About the College:

Balbhim Arts, Science and Commerce College was inaugurated in 1960 by the esteemed hands of late Shri Yashwantraoji Chavan, Chief-Minister of Maharashtra. It has been started with a noble aim “Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya” (Journey from Darkness to Light, Non-Realization to Realization, Avidya to Vidya) for imparting higher education to the student belonging to educationally and economically weaker sections and backward classes in the region of Marathwada. U.G.C. has honored our college as the 'College with Potential for Excellence' .UGC has honored “PARAMARSH scheme, for mentoring and accreditation of several Non accredited institution. Our College has got A+ grade with CGPA 3.44 in fourth cycle of NAAC reaccreditation process. It is a premier college for traditional as well as new age need based courses such as Computer Science, Information Technology, and Business Administration etc. Thousands of students of this college are getting benefits of these courses.

About the Department:

The Department of Chemistry at Balbhim College, established in 1960, has consistently upheld high academic standards and excellence in teaching and research.
